I have dedicated a majority of my legal career to the practice of family law and representing my clients both in and out of the courtroom. My primary focus in all my cases is creating a safe place where my clients feel comfortable, listening to them, and preparing a path that meets both their short term and long term goals. I believe that an attorney’s role is to serve as an advocate for their client’s position, but not to increase the conflict. I operate under the guiding principle that my clients' needs come first. It is always best to have a knowledgeable, experienced attorney to protect your interests and rights when facing any legal issues. I understand that it can be extremely traumatic and stressful when families are involved in legal proceedings against one other. I am dedicated to providing you with the quality service and representation you deserve. My goal is to set realistic expectations by explaining the legal process so that you know what to expect. From there, I want to provide the support, advice, and tools to help you move not only through your legal situation, but afterwards as well. During the week, I dedicate my time to my clients and caseload. However, I do reserve my weekends for spending time with my family and cheering on the Buffs and the Broncos during football season!

I am a graduate from the University of Colorado (Go Buffs!) with an undergraduate degree in Psychology. I then attended Washburn School of Law in Topeka, KS, where I obtained my Juris Doctorate.

I have experience practicing in Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, Gilpin, Jefferson, Larimer, Routt, and Weld counties. My case experience includes mediation, collaborative law, strategic representation, estate planning, divorce, legal separation, allocation of parental responsibilities (child custody), preparing separation agreements and parenting plans, modifications, protection orders, adoption, contempt proceedings, relocation, grandparent rights, and other family law matters. I also have experience with probate law, preparing wills, powers of attorney, and codicils.
