It is with a heavy heart that I write to express my condolences to the friends and families of the ten victims whose lives were so tragically cut short Monday while doing the most normal of tasks. As someone who has lived, worked and frequented Boulder my entire life,  I have been shaken by the events that occurred yesterday afternoon. It is times like these that we are reminded about how precious life is and how much we mean to one another. As we grieve these losses, I encourage all of you to reach out to your family, your neighbors, your colleagues, the clerks you interact with when you shop with smiles, kind words and actions.
