Artificial intelligence (AI) is already changing how attorneys, mental health professionals, CFIs,
and PREs communicate, organize information, review records, and prepare professional work.
This beginner-friendly program is not an endorsement of AI—it is a practical guide to recognizing
and managing its risks. Participants will learn how to distinguish consumer and professionally
approved AI tools, protect confidential and privileged information, verify AI-generated facts and
summaries, address recording and transcription concerns, and preserve independent professional
judgment. The program will also examine what to do when clients, opposing counsel, opposing
parties, or individuals involved in a CFI or PRE investigation use AI-generated material. The
essential lesson: AI may assist the professional, but the human remains responsible—do not trust
the output.
