From Therapeutic Supervision to Family Independence: Navigating the Continuum of Supervised Parenting Services

September 2 @ 12:00 PM - 1:15 PM
$40

Families involved in the court system often require varying levels of support as safety, trust, and parent-child relationships are rebuilt. This practical webinar will explore the continuum of supervised parenting services—from therapeutic supervised parenting time through supervised visitation, monitored visitation, monitored exchanges, and ultimately successful discharge from services. Through an evolving case study involving high-conflict family dynamics, domestic violence history, alcohol misuse, child resistance, and sobriety monitoring, participants will examine how interventions can be tailored as family needs change over time. Presenters will discuss the distinct roles of therapeutic supervision versus traditional supervised visitation, strategies for creating successful outcomes, and the importance of flexible court orders that empower service providers to make clinically informed recommendations. Attendees will also receive practical guidance on effective court order language, step-up planning, and the integration of sobriety monitoring to support safe, developmentally appropriate family reunification. The Zoom link will be emailed to all BIDC members and registered attendees one day prior to the seminar.
