Magistrate Timothy Johnson:
Magistrate Johnson was appointed as District Court Magistrate in July 2021. Prior to his appointment he was in private practice focusing on family law and criminal defense at the Bagley Law Firm and later, Caplan & Earnest. Before entering into private practice he was a prosecutor for over 20 years in Boulder
County. During his time there, he served as the Chair of the Domestic Violence Management Board. He taught statewide and nationally in a variety of areas including domestic violence, sexual assault, trial skills, and cybercrimes. Magistrate Johnson graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law and was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 1997. Magistrate Johnson’s docket consists of domestic relations matters, including temporary orders regarding financial matters, modifications of child support and maintenance, as well as name changes of minors and adoptions.
Kate Power:
Kate Power has been with Boulder County Child Support Services for over seven years years. She started as a Court Liaison and has been a CSS Attorney since 2017. Kate graduated from University of Maine School of Law. Her legal background includes mental health advocacy and immigration law. She’s a proud AmeriCorps alum who worked with poverty-stricken communities to access tools to create positive change through service-learning education. Kate is also the co-founder of Lady Justice Brewing, a fully- female owned and operated philanthropic brewery in Denver that donates 100% of profits- over-cost to Colorado organizations working with women and girls.
Amanda Peek:
Amanda is a founding partner of Peek Goldstone, LLC where she provides family law assistance for individuals and families throughout Colorado. Amanda received a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Colorado in Boulder. She obtained her Juris Doctor from Gonzaga School of Law, graduating cum laude. Amanda started her career as a prosecuting attorney but now focuses primarily on family law. Amanda is a parenting coordinator and decision maker as well as the Weld County Child Support Services attorney.

***Networking: Programs do begin promptly at noon. You’re welcome to come 15 minutes earlier to network with colleagues. There is also time to mingle after the formal presentation is complete.
